As War As Love
Vier Jahrhunderte nach ihrer Entstehung werden Claudio Monteverdis Madrigali guerrieri et amorosi mit ihrer Kriegs- und Liebesthematik zur Inspirationsquelle für ein neues Werk von Cathy Milliken. In As War As Love, einem „oratorio per tre“, vertont die australische Komponistin neben Renaissance-Lyrik auch Texte von Wisława Szymborska, Rainer Maria Rilke, Mahmoud Darwish und anderen. Helena Rasker und Geneviève Strosser bringen das Werk im Pierre Boulez Saal zur Uraufführung.
